Because of COVID, I haven’t been showing much or updating this site regularly. I have produced a lot of new work, and will be showing at the artspSWT Spring Salon. Space there is limited, so I’ve decided to publish my new work as a series of blog entries, while I decide how to integrate it into my site.
Much of what I’ve done spins off from “Teilhard’s Universe”. (above) that springs from a college class in political philosophy from more than 50 years ago. Detail here TLDR
Much of my work is culture wars satire, which harks back to my professor’s concern about why so much political philosophy ends in totalitarianism, and whether there are any natural processes that lead to cooperation and democracy. The guy chewing the grudger sign above is the “former guy” posing as one of the players in game theory”s evolutionary game -Prisoner’s Dilemma. Evolution has it: Cooperation can defeat Cheating.
My recent work looks at the left side of Universe - Creation - whether complexity can be generated from simplicity. The gold squares are part of John Conway’s Game of Life, a demonstration of exactly that. We’ll start at the beginning.
Thus, the Big Bang.
Nobody really knows what this was like, of course. But in my imagination, the bang was a bubble (of something/something) that squeezed through a crack in space/time (But, was there space/time then?).
